Prince On Tour

Prince the welsh cob is a very adventurous little horse, he's been travelling with me all over the place, and having his photograph taken. The others I owned when I came up with this idea all had excuses for not coming - Chance too old, Peter too shiny, Rosie too white, Connie too delicate, Taffy missing at the time (later found hiding under a duster).
Here's Princey on the Brush Valley Crossing jump (right). He wasn't too keen on posing here until I pointed out that it was showjumping day and there was no way he was about to get flattened by a real eventer!
Burghley Horse Trials, August 2004
Three jumps from the end of the course, Prince stands on the top of the towers to inspect the going - the view's good from up there!
(Right) This is a really nice shot of Prince standing in front of the famous Lion Bridge designed by Capability Brown. Can you spot the spaniel in the lake?
Oxburgh Hall, Norfolk, September 2004
Prince came with me to this Elizabethan manor house, left, (he's wearing the ribbon bridle I made him).
Gardeners at Oxburgh have carefully re-created this special style of Elizabethan garden, known as a parterre. I don't THINK Prince ate any of the flowers, but he certainly looks as if he'd like to!
Here's Prince hiding in a little hole in the wall. The family who built and owned Oxburgh were Catholics, and during the civil was, they had a priest hole built into one of the walls. Today, you can climb down into it to see just how small it was. Prince thought it was actually rather roomy down there - but then he is smaller than the average visitor!
Ruined Church, Norfolk, September 2004
Prince is obviously interested in old architecture : this time he's investigating an old church. The main roof collapsed years ago, leaving half the church as a ruin (right), but the other half of the church contains some rare and beautiful terracotta screens (left).
Getting in Touch with Nature, September 2004
(Above) Pausing to take in the scenery. Prince came with me on a woodland walk, I got a very funny look from a lady when I was taking this photo, but later on some very small children saw him and thought he was very nice indeed. Julip fans of the future, maybe!
(Right) As well as julips, I also have a website about old, weird and beautiful trees. On a recent photography trip Prince decided to come with me and get in one of the photos.
Halloween, 2004
I saw these lovely big mushrooms in a field on the way home from riding, and just had to bring Prince out to meet them! Taken on the 31st October, Princey looks a little scared in the photo on the right - as if he's expecting them to come to life...
Prince visited the beach one very cold and windy day in January, he kept his rug on because he was cold and grumpy and wanted to go home. On the right you can see him sulking near the striped cliffs.
January, 2005
Looking rather windblown, Prince stands as near to the sea as he dares to go, he's afraid there might be a jellyfish.
Prince meets another mushroom! This one was being very intimidating and 'looking at me funny' according to Princey, so here he's trying to stare it out so it'll go away
